Top 5 Spring/Summer Fragrances
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had a thing for fragrances. There’s just something alluring about these gorgeous and sophisticated-looking bottles that not only looks beautiful on the vanity table, but also (most of the time) smell heavenly great. I love my fragrances for its obvious reasons but not only that, they also hold a precious value in my heart, ‘cause there is a personal story behind each fragrance that I own. Whenever I smell a specific scent it never fails to bring back some old memories, whether it’s a person or a place in time – it’s just precious.
For the most part I love sticking to one or two fragrances as a signature scent, but of course from time to time, I also like to alternate between my other perfume bottles just to match my mood or the occasion. I think every woman should have her own signature scent. So now that spring and summer are in full force, I have selected some of my all time favorite fragrances that I love to shower with during the warmer days. Who knows if one of these fragrances will end up being your future signature scent as well?!
Jo Malone – Wild Bluebell
This fragrance has such a unique scent. The delicate sweetness of dewy bluebells suffused with lily of the valley and eglantine make it all smell nice and fresh. And the luscious twist of persimmon adds just the right amount of fruity scent to this whole cologne.
Zara – Floral Bouquet
This is one of my favorite scents at the moment. It has a distinctively strong floral and sweet scent to it but not to the point where gets too overwhelming, definitely one that calls for spring and summer. Though it has a strong floral scent, you can go all overboard spraying your whole body with this fragrance without ending up wearing a too heavy scent, which I really appreciate ‘cause some fragrances can cause me a bad headache. The best part of it all, it’s cheap and lasts long!
Marc Jacobs – Daisy Dream
This gorgeous perfume bottle is the epitome of spring and summer season. I have to admit I was already in love by the perfume bottle itself, but once I started to sniff at the fragrance, I was completely sold. The mix of blackberries, grapefruit, pear, blue wisteria, jasmine and coconut water create this nice and fresh, fruity and sweet scent.
Escada – Born in Paradise
Every time when I use this fragrance, it always reminds me of the sexy and sophisticated ladies in Barcelona. It seems like every woman in Barcelona carries a subtle sweet scent and it always catches my attention. Born in Paradise is one of those perfumes that scream for summer. It has a nice youthful and sweet scent that smells flowery and fruity. The mix of green apple, watermelon, guava, coconut milk, pineapple, sandalwood, cedar and musk make the perfect fragrance for summer.
Lancôme – Trésor in Love
I have saved the best for last ‘cause this fragrance is just everything to me. Out of all the fragrances I’ve owned in the past, this one here has for sure been with me for the longest time. I would say, it’s been my signature scent for a good few years now and I have used up many bottles in the past. The irresistible floral scent of roses and vivid jasmine aroma mixed with nectarine and cedar wood make the perfect combination for an everyday wear. The scent is so subtle it smells fresh and clean, which makes the perfect cologne for spring and summer. Due to the warm musky and romantic sweetness, it can also be worn during the winter and fall. Truly, I can wear this fragrance all year around!
Here you have it; my current favorite fragrances for the spring and summer seasons. As always, thanks for reading and I will speak to you very soon!
