Rire Lip Powder
It seems as if the beauty industry never sleeps, since they never fail to keep coming up with new innovative beauty products. This time, Rire Cosmetics a Korean beauty company, has come up with a unique lip formula. If you’re like me and thought powders are only meant for the face... well you might want to rethink again, ‘cause Rire Cosmetics has just launched their newest innovation – Rire Lip Powders.
This unique lip powder formulation called for my attention right away. A unique lip powder formulation that not only provides a vivid matte color, but also moisturizes the lips as well?! I say time for a review!
Description
- New concept of lip product
- Clean & plain for light lip
- Soft covering & great persistency
- Supply nutrition with essential oil component
Packaging
This lip powder set comes in a nice sleek packaging. Inside you’ll find the four lip colors in 01 Orange Pop, 02 Sugar Rose, 03 Hot Plum, and 04 Fashion Red. There is also a nice handy dandy lip manicure remover included, just to make things all easier when removing the lip color.
The lip product itself comes in a cute little oval shape packaging with clear containers. I love the fact that you’re able to see the lip color inside, which makes it easier to pick out the shade you’re looking for. I have to admit that packaging design looks cute, but unfortunately it isn’t practical at all. These lip powders comes with a dove foot applicator, which is fine but the wand is just too short. It’s not really easy to apply the lip product, especially with a bulky cap like this. Also you can’t get a nice grip on these little containers due to the oval shape design, it makes it all slippery. So be warned and hold it carefully, ‘cause I’ve dropped mine several times already.
Product
This lip powder formulation is truly mind blowing. Once the powder formula touches the skin it will instantly turn into a liquidity/creamy texture. And the most unbelievable thing about it is that it truly does what it claims to be, it’s moisturizing as well! How is that even possible, don’t you think? As it is written on the website, there’s amino acid added in these powder formulation, which ensures the lips to stay moisturized. It also says that amino acid plays an important role in maintaining skin elasticity, so by supplying nutrients to skin it will help to keep the lips smooth and moisturized.
After applying these lip powders it will set into a matte finish. I really love how lightweight this product is; it just feels like you’ve nothing on your lips. Unfortunately, it isn’t transfer free, but it will definitely stain your lips. I do recommend using the included lip manicure remover to remove the lip color, ‘cause this lip product is pretty long lasting or you can use any lip oil to remove the product.
The color payoffs are pretty pigmented. Of all four colors, I would say Fashion Red has the best color payoff. When applying these colors, it might get a bit patchy at first, but just apply a second layer and the patchiness will fade away. I do recommend you to let it set first before putting your lips together.
These lip powders doesn’t have a smell, but what I did notice is that it has a pleasant subtle sweet taste to it. Not that I encourage you to eat or lick it, but just a little FYI.
Further more, each of these lip powders contain a small amount of 1.8 gram. Not that much I would say, but a little bit does goes a long way.
Result
Needless to say, though I am very impressed by this lip powder formulation, I am still a little bit hesitant about it. Because one, I think that the packaging design still needs improvement, just like I mentioned before, the product is not very user-friendly. And two, I find it to be a little bit messy whenever I am applying this lip product. One tip: try not to inhale or exhale when applying this lip powder ‘cause it will get everywhere. However, I do think it’s a unique product to have, since I’ve never seen something like this anywhere before.
I bought this Rire lip powder set at Ebay for $29,90 but you can also buy these colors separately for $7,56 each.
