4 Ways to Tie a Scarf
Now that Christmas and New Year’s Eve are just around the corner it also means we’re getting closer to the coldest days of the year. I find these days to be the trickiest ones to dress up, ‘cause without a doubt we all want to look cute on those upcoming festive days without freezing our butt off, right?! If layering clothes isn’t an option on these particular days then there’s only one way to go and that is wearing a scarf and you might want to wear a thick one as well. If you’re already spending that much time on fixing your hair, make up, and putting an entire outfit together, I’m pretty sure you won’t let anything mess up your outfit, am I right?
I used to skip the scarf and freeze myself in the cold in order to look nice, ‘cause I always thought scarves mess up my entire outfit. But I’ve discovered some styling tips to dress warmly but still remain fashionable during the winter.
Today I’ll be showing you four different kinds of ways how to easily twist and turn our scarves into a totally different style. Depending on your outfit, there should be at least one fitting style that will enhance your outfit nicely. Now without further ado lets jump right into the tutorial!
The Bandit
I have to say out of the four styles, the bandit style is the one I wear the most. Just take a square shaped scarf and fold it diagonally into a triangle. Take the two ends and wrap it around your neck, pull the two ends forward and tuck it underneath the scarf.
The Turtleneck
I love the circle scarf and own a few of them, but unfortunately when it comes to pattern selection, it’s usually very limited. Most of the times it’s just a one-color option, so I thought why not create my own circle scarf with the patterns that I like. So to create the Turtleneck style, you’ll need to twist the scarf until you’ve reached the ends. Now easily wrap the scarf around your neck and hide the two ends by tucking them into the scarf.
The Side French Twist
This Side French Twist style does not only keep you warm but can also be worn as a nice accessory. Just like the Turtleneck style, keep twisting the scarf until you meet the ends and tie the scarf one time around your neck and bring it to the side where it looks like the two ends are hugging your shoulder.
The Classic Drape
The easiest and yet most elegant one is definitely the classic drape. The classic drape only takes a sec. to do. Like The Bandit style fold the scarf into a triangle and just wrap the scarf around the shoulders and you’re done with the classic drape! This look is perfectly suitable for indoor events where wearing a coat is unnecessary.
There you have it; my four favorite style to wear during the cold winter days. I hope you guys love these styles and it can help you to stay all warm and cozy on those colder days. As always thank you for reading guys!
