September Favorites
Ladies, it’s time for some beauty updates! Yes, it’s that time of the month again. I’ve bought a ton of new beauty products over the past few weeks and some of them have even made it into my daily makeup routine. Since I have been using these products frequently I shall – as always – share my beauty finds with you guys, ‘cause sharing is caring right?! Now without further ado, let’s have a look at these beauty products, shall we?
1. Urban Decay – Naked Flushed ‘Streak’
Let’s talk about this Naked Flushed palette – one of the most wanted products on my shopping list since the day its been launched. This handy dandy palette not only comes with a nice bronzer, highlighter and a blush, but all the shades are also full-size on their own! I especially love how the colors of this palette go so well with my light to medium skin tone. The highlighter has a gorgeous rose gold color that gives the face a nice hint of glow. I’m all about this palette lately – I’ve actually been using it on a daily bases for quite some time now. Appearance wise, the pallet has a sleek case with an easy-open magnet closure, including a big mirror, so it makes it easier to carry around while traveling or for mid-date touchups.
2. Nars – Radiant Creamy Concealer ‘Custard’
The color that I’m using is called ‘custard’; it should work well for those who have a yellow undertone and a light to medium complexion like myself. I’m all about concealers when it comes down to make up. Being able to conceal my imperfections, such as dark circles and some redness around my face, can already make a big difference for me. I’ve tried numerous different concealers over the past years, but none of them works as good as Nars. The struggle I always had is when concealers tend to settles into my fine lines, but this Radiant Creamy Concealer doesn’t do that at all. This concealer goes on smoothly, blends easily and the best part it stays in place all day!
3. Kiko – Intensely Lavish Lipstick ‘Pretty Mauve’
The perfect mauve lip color! This lipstick has been my go-to lip color since the moment I bought it. Just like its name holds, it has a really ‘pretty mauve’ color. This mauve color has a beautiful pink-ish undertone to it, so it blends nicely with your natural lip color. The color isn’t too dark, so it’s perfect for an everyday wear. The great thing about this lipstick is that it’s highly pigmented and super moisturizing, but the cherry on the cake is the price. You just can’t go wrong with this affordable lipstick that not only has a packaging to die for, but also has great quality. Since this lipstick is from their seasonal Rebel Romantic collection, I’ll definitely make sure to have some backups on this one!
4. Escada – Born in Paradise
There is a funny story behind this fragrance, which I’ve already talked about in depth in a previous blog post, but long story short; this fragrance smells like heaven! This limited edition perfume is inspired by the famous Pina Colada cocktail; the soft and subtle sweetness of this fragrance will take you back to these nice and hot summer holidays. I bought the travel size during my trip in Barcelona but soon enough regretted not buying the regular size. So the minute I came back from my trip, and before it’s too late, I immediately bought the largest size. Now every time when I use this fragrance it will keep reminding me of my joyful trip in Barcelona.
5. The Body Shop – Tea Tree Oil
This product is my lifesaver when it comes to pimples! Somehow pimples always find its way to show up in the most inappropriate moment. Maybe it’s a bit TMI, but what I find most annoying is when it takes days for a pimple to be ripe enough to extract. This is when Tea Tree Oil comes to rescue. Tea Tree Oil contains natural antibacterial properties. When applied on the acne affected skin, it destroys the skin dwelling bacteria that develop the acne. Meaning it will help reducing acnes. What I usually do is poor a few drops of tea tree oil on a q-tip and then gently dab it on the acne spots. Just leave it overnight and you’ll be amazed by how much the redness and swelling will reduce.
Here you have it guys, my favorite products of this month. As always, I hope you guys will love these products as much as I do. Please feel free to share your Products of the Month with me, ‘cause I am always in for some new beauty products! As always thanks for reading!
